Tomorrow, tens of thousands of Estonians will step out of their homes for the nationwide Collective Action Day, as the Teeme Ära (Let’s Do It) event unfolds across the country.
More that 17 000 people had signed up as of Friday morning for the Collective Action Day held on May 4th- the actual number is expected to be higher. The collective actions website currently lists 1,075 cleanup activities, including 231 water safety initiatives, 181 actions to create biodiverse learning gardens, and many activities enriched with cultural experiences. Extra hands and assistance are welcome all over Estonia. All those interested can pick their favorite collective action at the Let’s Do It website and show up to participate in it on Saturday. The Teeme Ära collective action day, held on Saturday, May 6th, went smoothly and was successful all across Estonia. A total of 1,222 collective actions took place, with at least 33,453 volunteers participating. A wide range of collective works were held including cleaning of 242 apartment building basements, tidying of 205 saunas, and increasing the biodiversity of 151 school surroundings.
