Henrik Raave, the leader of the Let’s Do It collective action day, stated that Saturday will be a busy collective action day in every corner of Estonia. "This morning, the last recommendations were sent from our office to the collective action organizers and participants. The weather also seems to favor our collective effort, promising good weather for the activities," said Raave. He added that this cultural experiences in many locations will enliven the day and the live broadcast from the Studio will provide a comprehensive overview of the entire day.

The broadcast starts on Saturday at noon at www.teemeara.ee/otse . Live from the Studio, impressions and moods from collective action sites across Estonia will reach listeners and viewers directly on their phones or other screens. The studio will feature live connections to the sites, interviews with studio guests, on-site visits, and musical interludes to enrich the day. Among the speakers are Annela Laaneots, Tartu 2024 coordinator for the South Estonia, Eeva Kirsipuu-Vadi, the coordinator of the Green School program at Tartu Nature House, Tarmo Tüür, the head of the Estonian Fund for Nature, Henrik Raave, the leader of the Teeme Ära cleanup day, as well as several Teeme Ära regional coordinators, collective action leaders, and participants.

The Studio is run by volunteer journalism students from the University of Tartu: Triinu Ress, Anna Aurelia Kangur, Getter Miida Kask, and Johannes Peetsalu. Musician Ats Aavakivi will also contribute to the broadcast. Technical support is provided by Joosep Kurm and his team. This is the first time in the history of the collective action day that the live studio broadcast from the Teeme Ära headquarters in Tartu Nature House will be aired. The broadcast can be followed live on the website and it will be available for replay.

The weather for Saturday looks promising. The weather service predicts partly cloudy weather with occasional showers. Southwest and west winds will blow at speeds of 3-9 meters per second, with gusts up to 14 meters per second in the afternoon along the northern coast. The air temperature will range from 13 to 19°C, reaching up to 9°C on the coast.

This year´s three main focuses of the Teeme Ära spring collective action day are reducing local water hazards in collaboration with the Rescue Board, creating biodiverse learning gardens in kindergartens and schools as part of the Green School program, and bringing cultural experiences to every cleanup site under the auspices of Tartu 2024. Of course, every individual and community can decide which tasks require joint action this time around. Let’s Do It team encourages everyone to follow all safety procedures, and occupational safety is as important as fire and water safety. Upon finding an explosive device or something that look like one, it must not be touched. The object must be cordoned off and the Rescue Board must be notified about it immediately by calling 112. Information about uncovered wells and other dangerous structures should be forwarded to the state helpline by calling 1247. Children participating in the collective works must never be left unsupervised.

This is the seventeenth time already that the annual springtime collective action event Let’s Do It takes place in Estonia, when thousands of people gather to do something for their own living environment. The Let’s Do It collective action day arose from the big clean-up day of 2008 and the subsequent collective brainstorming of 2009 and this year marks the 15th time when The Let’s Do It collective action day takes place in the same form.

This year's Teeme Ära collective works day was organized by the Estonian Fund for Nature, the Estonian Village Movement Kodukant, and their associated network.
